09:00 [09:30] Edinburgh Meditation Circle of Self-Realization Fellowship (Rob Elliot)
The main goal of each SRF group is to meet in order to meditate together. The group meditation may be helpful for those who are making a spiritual effort to achieve calmness, concentration and devotion, which are necessary to seek God. SRF is a religious, non-profit organisation, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in Los Angeles in 1920. You are very welcome to join our meditation. Please call or write to Sue&Rob Elliot for more information and to let us know you are coming, so that we can welcome you. Tel (Sue&Rob): 01750 722243 Email:

>>> RSVP by 3pm on Friday 2 March to <<< The Salisbury Centre offers a Sunday Lunch on the first Sunday of each month to all Friends of the Centre. We hope this creates an opportunity for regular visitors and lurkers alike to meet informally, so people who don't attend regular events and people from the various devotional groups will have a chance to mingle, and who knows what new friendships and ideas may arise. The food on offer principally will be suitable for vegans and vegetarians. We will publish the menu ahead of time on Facebook. Contributions to the spread are welcome, and you are free to bring along anything you personally may need to meet special dietary restrictions or allergies. 18:00 [18:00] Introduction to Meditation
Tergar Practice Group Edinburgh Introduction to Meditation 4 Part Introduction to Meditation 20th May to 1st July Meditation helps us to discover a deep sense of well-being that is not dependent on the circumstances of our lives. When we learn to tame our minds and open our hearts through the practice of meditation, we discover the compassionate wisdom and radiant joy that is our true nature. In this 4 part Introduction we will practice different methods of meditation, as taught by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, and watch his short video teachings. There will also be time for discussion, clarifying questions and sharing our experiences, inspiration and fun in the practice of mindfulness in everyday life. Although rooted in Tibetan Buddhism these techniques are non- religious, and will be of value to those of all faiths and none. When: Alternate Sunday evenings: 20th May, 3rd June, 17th June, 1st July. 6pm to 7.30pm Where: Salisbury Centre. The Studio Cost: £20 for four sessions Contact: For further information and registration please contact
