17:00 [17:00] Full Moon Transmission
Description:
In addition to their monthly public workshops on transmission meditation at The Salisbury Centre, volunteers with the Edinburgh Transmission Meditation Group will also be running full moon transmissions that coincide with each full moon during 2018. The time of the full moon is very important for the reception and distribution of spiritual energy and this is especially the case with transmission meditation, which is a group service activity that helps to create a more potent global network of light for both humanity and the planet and serves the needs of the world. Full Moon Transmissions will gain more significance in the life of humanity and will become of major importance as we enter more fully into the New Age of Aquarius. They will be celebrated worldwide with increased potency and vigour in the near future. Do join us for a powerful group meditation and work of planetary service and help with the transmission of spiritual energies at the time of the full moon! The full moon transmissions will take place at The Salisbury Centre (unless otherwise stated), 2 Salisbury Road, Edinburgh, EH16 5AB, from 5-6pm, and the dates for 2018 are as follows: Fri 2 March, Sat 31 March (private venue), Mon 30 April, Tue 29 May, Thur 28 June, Fri 27 July, Sun 26 Aug, Tue 25 Sept, Wed 24 Oct, Fri 23 Nov and Sat 22 Dec. Free admission. No previous experience required and newcomers are always welcome to attend. 19:00 [19:00] Vedanta Intro Class
Description:
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN OVER 4 YEARS new classes have started in Edinburgh. A very rare opportunity to join for new and old students. The SECOND OPEN CLASS of this new series is only a matter of days away. THERE IS STILL THE OPPORTUNITY TO JOIN IN. As each class builds on what has gone before, we would be happy to send you a link to enable you to listen to the first one, so you can get the most from the second in the series. (Please be in touch to receive this link). Classes are liable to become closed soon since the teaching works best as a systematic unfoldment. To avoid any break in listening please be sure to mark in your diary EVERY UPCOMING SECOND AND FOURTH TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH (excluding 23 October). Initial classes are being held in the Salisbury Center (Art Room). In these classes we begin from a different perspective with a deceptively simple basic inquiry into things which we take for granted about life and the human condition. Out of this we gain a clear understanding that many of our unquestioned assumptions about ourselves and life are not as solidly based as we imagine. This provides the foundation for further enquiry which gives rise to the basis for the nondual teachings which we call Vedanta. Please be aware that regular attendance is important in order to grow in an appreciation of what Vedanta systematically unfolds. Kindly mark yourself as Going as soon as possible to let us know if you have a desire to attend. WE ARE CURRENTLY EXPLORING THE POSSIBILITY OF LIVE-STREAMING THE CLASSES should attendance in person be an insurmountable hurdle. You can also Reserve a Free Ticket on Eventbrite following this link: https://bit.ly/2wP2cBU. Limited spaces.
