09:00 [09:30] Edinburgh Meditation Circle of Self-Realization Fellowship (Rob Elliot)
Description:
The main goal of each SRF group is to meet in order to meditate together. The group meditation may be helpful for those who are making a spiritual effort to achieve calmness, concentration and devotion, which are necessary to seek God. SRF is a religious, non-profit organisation, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in Los Angeles in 1920. You are very welcome to join our meditation. Please call or write to Sue&Rob Elliot for more information and to let us know you are coming, so that we can welcome you. Tel (Sue&Rob): 01750 722243 Email: info@yogananda-edinburgh.org.uk

[14:00] The Connected Body - Feldenkrais Method Workshop
Description:
The Connected Body - Feldenkrais Method Workshop Series 2017 with Jackie Adkins Do you ever feel that some parts of yourself are not quite connected to others? In this Feldenkrais Method workshop series we will explore some of the fundamental connections which underlie all human movement, informed by the patterns we used as babies to learn how to move. Developing our sensory understanding of these patterns can help us to function with greater clarity and freedom. Head to Tail - Saturday 4th February Discovering the connection through your spine from the top of your head to your tail bone, gives a feeling of verticality, stability and centred-ness. Finding Balance - Saturday 6 May Most of us move differently on our right and left side. Undoing habitual patterns of holding can lead to a new sense of balance between the sides. Twists & Turns - Saturday 5 August Clarifying our diagonal connections, from one hand to the opposite foot, brings finesse & power to activities from walking & running to dance & sports. Integrating Into the Whole - Sunday 5 November In this workshop we will explore how integrating the patterns learned in the previous three workshops can bring us a feeling of whole body connectedness. Although we will refer back to previous material, it is not necessary to have done any of the other workshops to attend. Suitable for all levels of experience. Book now to secure your place. Times: 2-6pm Cost: £45 per workshop; £86 for 2; £126 for 3; £164 for 4 Booking: adkins.jackie@gmail.com Further information: www.movetolive.co.uk
