12:00 [12:00] Exploring the Divine Feminine: Let's celebrate Gaia
Description:
Let's celebrate Gaia! Goddess of the Earth. Mother Earth. Mother Nature. Mother of the Sky and the Ocean. Mother of all... Who is Gaia? Let's come together and create a beautiful shrine to Gaia while we discover who she is, what she means, what she wants to show us, and meditate on how we may explore and honour this message in our own lives. Instead of the usual single flower, please bring along anything you may wish to contribute to the shrine and/or the discussion: figures... objects... flowers... crystals... offerings... candles... pictures... inscence... stories... poems... songs...* We look forward to sharing a beautiful evening with you! Everyone welcome! xx Eileen & Renate *Donations to the room hire welcomed with gratitude. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ About Exploring the Divine Feminine 3rd Thursday of every month, 19.00-20:30 (TBC over the summer) at The Salisbury Centre You are invited to join us in sharing, seeking, experiencing and deepening our understanding of the meaning and qualities of the Divine Feminine. We will explore this from our own individual viewpoints as well as in other traditions from all over the world and through the ages. Who is this for? Everyone is welcome - men and women from all walks of life and all traditions, or none. This is not a discussion about women or being female, but an exploration of the more universal Divine Feminine - an aspect of all life. What to expect It is intended that the group is formed on the premise that everybody has the Divine Feminine within him- or herself, and that the state of the world requires of us to reconnect with Her in these times to bring about a better balance in energy and focus. Beyond that, we also hope to arrive at ideas and actions to bring the Divine Feminine forth into the world. The approach and content of each meeting will be determined by the participants, so do bring along anything you wish to share. We suggest the following basic structure for our meetings: 1. Dedicating the meeting to the Divine Feminine (Please bring a flower offering.) 2. Opening with a short meditation exploring Eternal Silence 3. Looking at what's on the table (e.g. texts or images brought by participants) and discussing in the group, perhaps including creative responses (e.g. writing poetry or guided imagery) 4. Closing with a meditation on what has come out of the dialogue and our experience together. What to bring 1. Anything on the Divine Feminine you wish to share (e.g. quote, poem, image, story, question), if you like. 2. A single fresh flower. 3. Donations towards the hire of our meeting room welcomed with gratitude. You may help yourself to tea and coffee at The Salisbury Centre (50p donation).
