Description:
Daily meditation was one of the core values at the heart of the founding of The Salisbury Centre, over 40 years ago. Today we still maintain this practice as a means of personal spiritual development but also as a service to our community. Our daily meditation is nondenominational and accessible to all; no experience is needed. We join in 30 minutes of silence and you may sit in any way you find comfortable. Chairs, cushions, stools and blankets are provided. Every weekday (Monday through Friday) at 08:00 AM and 17:30 PM. Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time. There is no need to book; just drop by when you can. Free of charge!

[19:00] Mindfulness Meditation: Short Introductory Course - Mindfullybeing
Description:
The course is designed primarily for people who would like to learn mindfulness methods but who may not feel ready to commit themselves to a full length MBSR course, though people with prior experience may also find the course useful as a refresher. The emphasis will be on the main mindfulness practices; sitting and walking meditation and body scan. We will also introduce the basic principles of paying more attention to the physical senses, viewing thoughts from a broader perspective and developing attitudes of openness and acceptance. The course will be led by Derek Goodman from Mindfullybeing. The cost is £70 or £50 concession for four two hour sessions.
