09:00 [09:30] Edinburgh Meditation Circle of Self-Realization Fellowship (Rob Elliot)
The main goal of each SRF group is to meet in order to meditate together. The group meditation may be helpful for those who are making a spiritual effort to achieve calmness, concentration and devotion, which are necessary to seek God. SRF is a religious, non-profit organisation, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in Los Angeles in 1920. You are very welcome to join our meditation. Please call or write to Sue&Rob Elliot for more information and to let us know you are coming, so that we can welcome you. Tel (Sue&Rob): 01750 722243 Email:

13:00 [13:00] Sunday Lunch
Join us for Lunch! The Salisbury Centre offers a Sunday Lunch on the first Sunday of each month to all Friends of the Centre. We hope to create an opportunity for regular visitors and lurkers alike to meet informally, so people who don't attend regular events and people from the various devotional groups will have a chance to mingle, and who knows what new friendships and ideas may arise. The food on offer principally will be suitable for vegans and vegetarians. We will publish the menu ahead of time on Facebook. Contributions to the spread are welcome, and you are free to bring along anything you personally may need to meet special dietary restrictions or allergies. Lunch will be preceded by a 30-minute silent meditation. Programme: 13:00 - 13:30 Meditation 14:00 - 16:00 Lunch Kindly RSVP by 3pm on the preceding Friday to, for the sake of catering. 17:00 [17:00] Grief Ceremony with Ilona Kästner
Grief Ceremony with Ilona Kästner The Grief Ceremony is a safe ritual space where we meet collectively to be held and witnessed in our grief. Grief is our natural response to loss and when it is not welcomed and expressed it can burden our steps and inhibit our capacity to fully live our lives. Sacred practices for communal grief tending are part of our ancestral heritage. Reclaiming this medicine is a way of lifting the clouds of shame, guilt and isolation that often surround the dark and unmet places of our soul. Learning how to be with and welcome grief in its many forms can free the soul and take us deeper into our joy and love for life. We will work with movement, mindfulness practices, and a circle ritual. Ilona Kästner has over eight years experience working in the field of individual and collective healing based on mindfulness and movement practices, nature connection and transformational learning. Contribution: £25 Places are limited, please book your place in advance. Contact: Ilona Kästner,, 07519 217736
