09:00 [09:30] Embodied : yoga x life drawing III
Join us for the third of these beautiful workshops, for relaxing, flowing vinyasa yoga led by yogi and life model Valentine Reltien. This will be followed by a life drawing session where Valentine will model the same sequence of poses you youreslves just embodied. The emphasis here will be on making flowing, gestural marks which convey the strength and grace of Valentine's pose sequence. Your drawings will combine the visual input of what you see before you, with your physical memory of being in those poses yourselves. Please arrive from 9.45 to get settled for a 10am start, and wear loose, comfortable clothing. Please BYOMat; all drawing materials and breaktime brioche are included. Don't worry if you think you can't draw as I (Topaz) will guide the group through some simple approaches suited to beginners and more experienced artists alike. There's no right or wrong way to draw and no 'perfect outcome' in mind; the process is what's most important here. Advance booking is advised as numbers are limited but you can also drop in. If you'd like to just do the drawing bit (for £6), arrive from 11am for an 11.20 start. Looking forward to welcoming you, Topaz and Valentine.

14:00 [14:00] The Connected Body - Feldenkrais Method Workshop
The Connected Body - Feldenkrais Method Workshop Series 2017 with Jackie Adkins Do you ever feel that some parts of yourself are not quite connected to others? In this Feldenkrais Method workshop series we will explore some of the fundamental connections which underlie all human movement, informed by the patterns we used as babies to learn how to move. Developing our sensory understanding of these patterns can help us to function with greater clarity and freedom. Head to Tail - Saturday 4th February Discovering the connection through your spine from the top of your head to your tail bone, gives a feeling of verticality, stability and centred-ness. Finding Balance - Saturday 6 May Most of us move differently on our right and left side. Undoing habitual patterns of holding can lead to a new sense of balance between the sides. Twists & Turns - Saturday 5 August Clarifying our diagonal connections, from one hand to the opposite foot, brings finesse & power to activities from walking & running to dance & sports. Integrating Into the Whole - Sunday 5 November In this workshop we will explore how integrating the patterns learned in the previous three workshops can bring us a feeling of whole body connectedness. Although we will refer back to previous material, it is not necessary to have done any of the other workshops to attend. Suitable for all levels of experience. Book now to secure your place. Times: 2-6pm Cost: £45 per workshop; £86 for 2; £126 for 3; £164 for 4 Booking: Further information:
